Minutes of November 10, 2008 LATWCA Annual Homeowners' Meeting
Meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m. by Mark Getis.
Board members present: Paul Davis, Mark Getis, Christopher Harrison and David
Glover. Also present were a quorum of homeowners (see sign-in sheet).
Board member(s) absent: Frank Pitts
Motion to approve minutes of the 2007 Annual Meeting made by Paul, seconded
by Chris, and unanimously approved.
Vice-President Mark Getis provided a management report. Below is a summary
of the management report:
Re "State of the Association":
The state of the association is “very good.”
Re " 2008 Accomplishments":
1 - Operated below budget with surplus going to Capital Reserves
2 – Maintenance and improvement projects including tree removal, planting
shrubs, repairing dock and installing handrail in front of 11032
3 – Contracts for snow revmoval renewed at favorable pricing.
Paul Davis provided the Treasury Report. LATWCA is under budget for
2008. See Treasuerr’s report for details. 2009 budget is expected
to be similar to 2008 with a proposed $10 quarterly dues increase in anticipation
of increasing service costs (note: dues have not been raised in past three
years).
Mark noted that the 5-Year Reserves Study is due in 2009.
Nominations were opened for two board positions.
Christopher Harrison and Paul Davis were nominated by homeowners present.
Nominations were closed.
The nominees were all unanimously elected.
Homeowner comments were received.
Christopher volunteered to head task force to address replacing curved glass
at back of houses.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
